Key tasks & responsibilities: • Treat all members of the community equally with respect, compassion and fairness • Interact and develop positive relationships with Foodbank recipients. • Serve food bank clients • Help organise produce from the food relief deliveries • Assist wtih meal preparation as required • Break up boxes for recycling and take to recycling bin • Assist in regular cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen, storeroom, fridges, freezers, and other area’s utilised for food bank • Attend team meetings, training or other team communications as necessary

Key Selection Criteria:

• Positive and flexible team player • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop skills within a team environment • Commitment to BLLC’s policies, procedures and Code of Conduct • Ability to relate well to people from a variety of backgrounds including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with a disability, those on low income or unemployed, young people and older people

Skills, experience & attributes: • Teamwork skills with an ability to work in a small, vibrant team environment • Flexibility and capacity to adapt to a changing work environment • An ability to remain task focused • An ability to work independently and see a task, process or project through to completion

Other requirements: • Ability to commit to, and attend, regular shifts at BLLC • Orientation and induction training • Police check/working with children check • Completion of interview with the BLLC Centre Manager or Volunteer Coordinator • Ability to support and abide by the values and mission of BLLC • Complete a one-month probationary/trial period

Time Commitment: between 3-6 hours per week or as arranged with Centre Manager
