We are seeking a volunteer to assist an aged care resident by reading to them 1-2 times per week. The service enables the recipient to enjoy the benefits of social contact and personal companionship, to reduce feelings of isolation and to stimulate their area of interest through reading a variety of literature available.

Skills and Attributes required:

• High level of literacy
• Awareness of working with elderly people who have a disability or sensory loss *Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills
