Logo for The Embroiderers' Guild of WA

The Embroiderers’ Guild of WA is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and teaching of needleart in Western Australia. The Guild encourages the development of knowledge, technique and artistry in all forms of embroidery and lace, traditional and contemporary, and welcomes members of all ages and skill levels. The Guild is also home to an Historical Textile Collection comprising around 1000 items dating from around 17th century to current day, housed in museum quality conditions as close as possible. The Guild is funded by membership subscriptions, workshops, sale of embroidery, related books, fundraising and members’ donations. From time to time the Guild has received grants from agencies such as Lotterywest and City of Melville, for specific projects. Guild operations are planned and overseen by an elected Management Committee. The Guild has one paid employee, an Administrative Assistant who works 12 hours per week. A contract cleaner invoices the Guild 2 hours per week for general cleaning..
