The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society. This is done via the retail stores, Freds van and the special works such as home visits, mens and womens crisis centres across the state. The society aims to move together as One Society to achieve the mission and give people a hand up not a hand out.
