Gilcreek Scout Camp

Gilcreek is located on Norwood Road, Lower King and backs onto the serene King River, 12 kilometres north of the Albany CBD. This 8 hectare bush site has plenty of room to allow camping, bushwalking, navigation and campfires. A large grassed oval provides a great activities area when a lot of room is needed. For those that enjoy water activities, there are six canoes available for hire and a jetty to try your hand at fishing. Within an hour of the campsite are tourist attractions such as the National Anzac Centre and Heritage Park, Whaleworld, the Porongurup Range, Middleton Beach, Two People's Bay nature reserve (ideal for whale watching July - October) and many walk trails including the Bibbulmun Track and it's Southern Terminus. A little bit further out is the picturesque Denmark town site, Stirling Range and Valley of the Giants at Walpole.
