Bk 2 Basics Melbourne started with a family wanting to help people. After spending a huge amount of time with Melbournes homeless Kaidi our daughter wanted to help families as she saw so many children at school not taking lunch. Bk 2 Basics started in our carport. We helped about 100 plus families a week by supplying them food thanks to Oz Harvest, Secondbite and Foodbank. Fast forward to now and we currently support over 3000 families and feed over 7000 individuals. We still help the homeless, support DV families and offer support when and if able. We are a NFP charity who gets no assistance. We rely solely on community donations. With some very special long time volunteers and new volunteers coming in everyday, we very much are one big growing family. 💜💜💜
