Pomona and District Kindergarten ('The Kindy') is a not-for-profit community kindergarten affiliated with C&K. Established in the mid-60's, we offer a unique Kindergarten program from our heritage-listed building in Pomona, QLD. The kindergarten caters for up to 44 pre-prep aged children (3.5yrs to 5 years) and is run by a volunteer parent committee. Learning through play is an integral part of our education program and our educators are caring professionals who demonstrate consistency, harmony and sensitivity. We honour the Gubbi Gubbi who are the traditional land owners where we play, grow and share by using the traditional language for our two groups Mari (Kangaroos) and Gulla (Koalas) and incorporating reconciliation in our learning processes. We are regularly involved in the community participating in Pomona and Kin Kin market days by holding face-painting stalls, play spaces, and reading stories to children, and we rely on volunteer support to help us raise funds for the Kindy.
