Pemberton is a small town in the wonderful Southern Forest Area. We have a small permanent population but attract many tourists to the region. The Pemberton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service consists of a number of community minded volunteers who carry out essential fire and rescue services to look after our own and our visitors. Some of the works we carry out include; community education, bushfire response, structural fire response, vehicle accidents, hazardous material response and assisting other emergency services as required. Some of our members have also been deployed for emergencies throughout the state and interstate. Teamwork is essential and close bonds are created doing this type of work together.
