The Council on the Ageing (COTA) NSW is the peak organisation for people over 50 in our state. We’re an independent, consumer-based non-government organisation. COTA NSW has long had a clear vision of the sort of society we want to bring into being. We’re committed to achieving a society where older people are respected, consulted, included, represented and heard. We are determined to make sure the contributions of older people to society are valued and they have access to the opportunities other members of the community take for granted. Consulting with our members and supporters, we work with politicians, policy makers, service providers and the media to ensure the views of older people are heard and acted on. We also provide advice and connections to ensure that older people are well-informed about the opportunities that are available to them and how to make the most of their lives.
