Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. Volunteers are ready and able to response to emergencies 24/7. Volunteers respond to a number of emergency situations including but not limited to; Structural and bush fires, Road Crash Rescue and Hazardous Materials. Volunteers also undertake local fire prevention activities with the community. Educating school children in fire safety. Working with residents to improve family and household fire safety.
