Great Southern WA Permaculture is a local sub group of Permaculture West, and promotes permaculture to the community as well as providing a hub for permaculture practitioners and newbies to socialise and share information. GSWAP runs informally and meets when volunteers have capacity to organise events. We held our first permaculture festival in 2019 and are running a second festival this year in 2022. Permaculture is based on three ethics of earth care, people care and fair share, and twelve principles that guide design thinking that can be applied to gardening, business, household, financial or social structures.
