Feed it Forward Inc (formerly known as Maori Stylz WA)

* * * * * OUR STORY * * * * * A few years ago our amazing group called Nan’s on a Mission, met, and still meet regularly with our mokopuna/grandchildren, to stay connected with our culture, maintain our whanaungatanga/kinship, manaakitanga/hospitality and aroha/love for each other. Through our volunteer work with Red Cross we connected and currently work with an organisation called Secondbite, which collects edible food waste Australia wide to help those in need. From small beginnings, we started collecting from a supermarket in Baldivis almost years ago and recently has increased to 90 stores across WA from as far north as Joondalup, as far south as Albany and as far east as Mundaring. With the help of more than 200 active volunteers, we are collecting food from supermarkets more than 200 times per week and distributing to the homeless, the elderly, daycares, families in need, schools, breakfast clubs, soup kitchens, churches, refuges, and lots of other community groups. * * * * * OUR MISSION * * * * * Knowing the need for food is very real within our local communities here in WA, FIF does its utmost to help save any edible waste from landfills to help feed those in need. We encourage any food outlets, groups, or individuals with surplus food or edible food waste, to contribute to us and our vast network of volunteers, to offer to anyone in need without cost.
