Albany Hospice was opened in November 1989, after a study indicated a need to supplement services already provided in the area. Today's Hospice was opened in 2001 and operates as a private hospice in association with other palliative care providers and public services in the area. A new Hospice is currently being built and will open late in 2015. This new building will double the current Hospice capacity.
Butterflies Op-Shop was set up to help raise much needed funds to aid the Hospice in the services it provides. This position involves serving customers, sorting clothes; hanging, ironing and pricing clothes. General shop tidying.
