The primary role of the Volunteers will be to work with vulnerable adults in an AOD setting and assist with daily tasks, such as shopping runs, assisting clients to medical appointments, assisting in the kitchen, running activity groups and general administration assistance.
All Volunteers must hold a current driver’s license, complete a Medical Check, National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
Scheduled driving opportunities would be on a Monday night to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as unscheduled driving times throughout the week. The volunteer shifts would be in the afternoon/evening through weekdays, or any time between 9am-9pm on the weekend. Shift days and times can be flexible to suit your availability. This position would be suitable for a someone seeking work experience in the Social Work, AOD or Mental Health sectors and will require you to be able to manage a large group and be well organised. Whilst volunteering you will be driving a Lives Lived Well company car or van, not your own vehicle.
