English or Dutch speaking volunteer to visit to lady in New Gisborne (VIC)

MiCare Ltd

Logo for MiCare Ltd

Share your language (English or Dutch) and companionship during fortnightly visits to an isolated elderly lady living in an Aged Care Facility in New Gisborne. A female volunteer fluent in English or Dutch is requested for this role.

Visits may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together. Your regular visits can make a real and positive difference in the life of this resident - reducing social isolation and improving well-being.

We ask volunteers to commit to minimum fortnightly visits for at least 6 months, however this is an ongoing role & we hope to support your friendship for as long as possible.

Volunteers receive training, orientation, ongoing support, travel reimbursement and invitations to meetings together with other visiting volunteers.

This program is part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme and the Commonwealth Home Support Program– an Australian Government Initiative
