Central Coast Wetlands Pioneer Dairy
Logo for Central Coast Wetlands Pioneer Dairy

Depending on the needs on any particular day your duties may include mostly mowing using tractor, ride-on and push mowers, whipper snipping, and possibly cutting up fallen wood with a chainsaw if qualified, weeding walking trails and gardens. Those with a chainsaw ticket will be highly regarded although there is plenty of other work for you if you don’t have one. This is an ongoing position and would suit people who are easy to get along with, who can spare some time one or two mornings a week and can work unsupervised or as part of a team.

Central Coast Wetlands Pioneer Dairy is a well established parkland located at South Tacoma Road Tuggerah and is managed by the Tuggerah Lake Reserve Land Manager and dedicated volunteers. We are a not for profit community organisation committed to the restoration and conservation of our natural wetland setting and its buildings for use by the community. This hidden treasure consists of 155 hectares of natural areas and parkland adjoining the rail line between Wyong River and Tuggerah. The park offers many popular bushwalking tracks, covered picnic tables, modern public amenities and is a bird watching and photography hotspot.

Benefits to volunteers include working with like minded people, making new friends, the satisfaction of working to help the local environment by enabling the wetlands to continue as a world class wetlands education and eco- tourism centre and provide habitat for flora and fauna including threatened species.

***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. You will be contacted soon to arrange a mutually convenient time and place. ***
