Logo for Inclusion Melbourne

Inclusion Melbourne provides personalised support for adults with an intellectual disability. Although our office is in Armadale, the people we support live in various suburbs all over Melbourne. Our personalised support service is leading the way in promoting the inclusion of people with an intellectual disability in the community. We support people to live a fulfilled life, to participate in activities based on their own needs, wants and interests, to develop meaningful friendships within the local community. Unlike other disability day services, Inclusion Melbourne is not limited to a specific geographic location and the people we support are not forced to pick activities from a list, follow a group schedule, or stay in a centre. This means the people we support can express themselves and pursue their passions, choose the activities they enjoy, the subjects they want to learn and the friends they have common interests with. At Inclusion Melbourne everyone we support has a completely tailored life-plan. Our volunteers work as part of a team with staff. Volunteers are supporting, facilitating and developing real friendships. Volunteer screening involves several steps including police checks and referee checks. A range of volunteer roles are available, including: leisure buddy, community connector, tutor and art mentor. Volunteers receive ongoing support, training and invitations to events.
