Logo for Print Handicapped Radio of ACT

Radio1RPH is a small, largely volunteer-run community radio station which provides a radio reading service for people with vision impairment and/or difficulty reading printed material. We broadcast to Canberra and environs on 1125AM, to Wagga Wagga on 89.5FM and to Junee on 99.5FM. We depend on around 120 volunteers to present two daily live news reading programs (from 7-9am and 6- 8pm). Volunteers read articles and other content from local, state and national newspapers. Volunteers also pre-record other programs, reading articles from selected magazines or books. We area expending our programs by going out to the community and doing audio description of events.
