Midsumma Festival is Victoria's premier queer arts and culture festival, for and by communities who live with shared experiences around diverse gender and sexuality (DGS or LGBTQIA+). Our aim is to emit positive change for our broad spectrum of communities. We showcase some of the best talents and nurture new arts and culture through our annual Midsumma Festival, featuring approximately 130 events with around 200,000 attendees annually. Although the primary festival is held in summer each year, Midsumma works year-round to provide artists, social changers, and culture-makers with support and tools to create, present and promote their work. With over 30 years of positive impact, we are a rich part of Melbourne’s annual cultural calendar.
