Logo for Avalon Centre Inc

Avalon has a diversity of programmes including a Drop-In, weekly excursions and an Avalon ACTion day. The people we currently help include: the disabled (Intellectually, physically, sensory etc) autistic, homeless, elderly, mentally ill, cancer survivors and bush fire victims. We will in fact support any disadvantaged group or individual with unmet needs. We are a unique centre that does not follow any other model, has the barest minimum of bureaucratic formalities and is operated and administered entirely by volunteers. In the past 22 years Avalon has provided opportunities for: networking, meeting new people, learning and acquiring new skills; material assistance to specific individuals and support to a wide range of disadvantaged people. At Avalon we put no limits or restrictions on our ventures and seek to step right outside the square to embrace the seemingly impossible. We welcome the creative new ideas that our volunteers contribute. For a better understanding of what we offer see our website www.avaloncentre.org.au MissionStatement: Avalon is a non profit organisation established in 1987. We have a very broad focus in attempting to meet unmet needs in the community and help those who have `slipped through the cracks`. To provide, in any small way we can, a means to support, help and encourage all who welcome it.
