Wantirna Lions Club

Lions Australia and Wantirna Lions are part of an international organisation of volunteers who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy. Chartered in 1976, Wantirna Lions is a vibrant Club with a committed membership group from diverse backgrounds. Some work full time, some are retired and some are semi retired...but all are passionate about making a difference in their community as demonstarted for more than 45 years. Whilst we are called Wantirna Lions we cover many suburbs of the City of Knox including Knoxfield, Scoresby, Bayswater and Ferntree Gully. The Club holds general meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month commencing at 7.30pm. Meeting duration is normally approximately 90 minutes and is often followed by a light supper. Dinners meetings are typically held quarterly and other social events are held on a regular basis. Projects and fundraising activities are carried out on a regular basis in between meetings. Wantirna Lions is known for its active and committed members, for the range of projects and initiatives the Club gets involved in, for supporting each other, having fun and, above all, helping those in our community who are less fortunate than ourselves.
