Alice River is a suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It is a rural/residential and farm district approximately 25kms south-west of central Townsville. Alice River has a fuel station with a small general store, a Hall, Rural Fire Service station (Rupertswood Rural Fire Service) and a recreation reserve. It also has an active Scouts movement, a Horse Club, Fishing Club, Childcare Centre and recently formed a new Community Association. The district's population centre is the Rupertswood estate where the community Hall exists. We are a new association operating our community Hall as the central facility of social, recreational and community activities/services/support.
