Droplets in a Stream

We work with trusted leaders in Kenya and Uganda to give vulnerable children a future. We resource our partners – train them, give financial support and practical skills – so their communities will become self-sustaining. In many of the urban slums around African cities, the children are locked outside of their houses during the day while the parents go out and look for work. These kids then wander the streets unsupervised and without any opportunity to obtain an education. They often form gangs and get up to mischief and can also be abused and mistreated by older kids or adults. They are left to fend for themselves, find their own food and protect themselves as best they can. The leaders we support are all focused on providing alternative activities for these unfortunate children. They offer free food kitchens, schooling and a safe place to play. These vulnerable children could be the future leaders of the country and investing in their safety, education and well being is investing in a sustainable future.
