Bike North Incorporated

Bike North Incorporated is a non-profit community based Bicycle User Group or BUG, affiliated with Bicycle NSW and Cycling NSW and covering Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove, North Sydney, The Hills, Ryde and parts of Parramatta council areas. We are governed by our Constitution (PDF). Our objects are described in our Constitution. Our aims are to promote the use of bicycles, promote road safety education and advocate appropriate outcomes for cyclists in our area. We have been an Incorporated Association (INC9879281) with NSW Department of Fair Trading since February 2003. Who are we? We are ordinary people who ride bicycles and share an interest in them. We live or work locally and know the local areas and issues. We are all levels of fitness and experience and ride a variety of bicycles either for transport, recreation, exercise or just for fun. Bike North is for everyone. Join us! What do we do? We run regular social rides where you can meet friends, exercise and have fun at the same time. We plan and work with Councils towards implementing their bicycle plans to get better cycling routes and facilities within and across our areas. We raise problems or concerns about cycling with the relevant authorities. We discuss all things to do with cycling and share our experiences. Further information on these activities can be found on the advocacy section of this website. When do we meet? We meet as a whole group just once every year at our Annual General Meeting. Our elected Executive team meets every month to plan and coordinate our activities. Small working groups meet regularly on their projects. To find out when the next meeting is, have a look in the calendar. We also chat on our regular bike rides and on our email lists. All members are welcome to attend all meetings, including our Executive meetings.
