CHIRP Community Health (registered as Castlemaine District Community Health) is a community based, not for profit organisation that has been working with the Mount Alexander Shire community since 1984. With more than 30 employees and 80 volunteers, CHIRP Community Health provides a wide range of services and programs aimed at promoting health and preventing illness. This includes Counselling, Alcohol & Other Drug Services, Community Health Nursing, Housing Services, Family Services, Diabetes Nurse Education, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Health Promotion, Youth Mentoring, TAC L2P Program, Resilience Programs in Schools, Tai Chi, Exercise Groups, Strength Training, Parkinson’s Exercise Support, First Aid Training, Mental Health First Aid Training, Walking Groups and visiting services for Podiatry, Cardiology, Endocrinology, JP’s & Employment Services.
