The Tweed Tourism Company is the peak destination marketing organisation for the Tweed region who aim to develop and build a long-term sustainable tourism economy for the Tweed. The Tweed Visitor Information Services is committed to maximizing the value of tourism to the Tweed Shire. The Tweed Tourism Group is responsible for marketing and being actively involved in planning for the future development of tourism in our region. As an organisation we rely on partnerships with business operators, to help us better fulfill our role of attracting visitors to the Tweed. The service is user pay – i.e. operators pay to have their brochures displayed in the Centers. All volunteers are on a three-month probationary period. At completion of three months, your performance is reviewed with your supervisor. We discuss your progress, what you have enjoyed about your position and any concerns either party may have. Overall your suitability to the position is assessed. At this time, should you not be happy with the position or if The Tweed Visitor Information Services is not satisfied with your performance, the relationship can be terminated. Position would suit people able to work 2 days consecutively but not a must. ALL POSITIONS HOURS AND DAYS TO BE DISCUSSED.
