Carringbush Adult Education-BVRC

Carringbush Adult Education aims to support and empower high-need adult learners, with a focus on refugee and migrant background residents and vulnerable families. We deliver EAL programs, employment pathways programs, pre-accredited courses designed for specific communities (e.g. Financial Literacy for women) and Family Literacy Programs for parents and children. We provide a support and referral service to engage disadvantaged clients, address barriers to participation and link clients into support services. Our community development projects include Carringbush Catering and the Women's Entrepreneurship Program. We work in outreach models on the public housing estates of Richmond and Collingwood, and in Yarra Libraries, collaborating closely with a range of partner organisations. Volunteers are integral to delivery and highly valued members of our program.
