Courage to Care Victoria

Logo for Courage to Care Victoria

Courage to Care educates Australians about the dangers of prejudice, racism and discrimination, and provokes participants to examine their own attitudes and behaviour to inspire bystanders to become Upstanders. The program applies the example of the Holocaust as one of humanity’s worst cases of how bystander behaviour enables hate speech, discrimination and persecution that can lead ultimately to violence and murder. Participants are empowered to challenge and speak out against such unacceptable human traits. Courage to Care programs that transform bystander behaviour are prepared and delivered wholly by trained volunteers throughout Victoria, including free workshops for schools.
