The 120 Countdown is a program for learner drivers who face significant barriers to gaining the mandatory 120 hours of driving practice before applying for their drivers’ license. Fully licensed driving volunteer mentors from the community provide driving practice with learner drivers. As a Uniting Volunteer 120 Countdown Driving Mentor you will supervise and mentor learner drivers to enable them to complete 120 driving hrs in their logbooks and obtain their driving licence. You will provide practical support on the road to independence and opportunity. You will be fully supported by the area Coordinator and will use the Uniting car for your mentor drives. You will be fully covered by Uniting insurances and be able to offer a couple of hours a week of your time, or more if you prefer.
