Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club - provides a range of community events as well as surf life saving training. OUR MISSION: To save lives and build healthier and safer communities. OUR VISION: A unique and celebrated water safety organisation building vibrant and inclusive community hubs that inspire people through the delivery of excellence in emergency service, training, education and sport. SLS provides an integrated national lifesaving service including volunteer lifesavers and paid lifeguards as well as the Surf Life Saving Emergency Response system. Lifesavers and lifeguards are trained to nationally recognised standards under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Surf lifesavers compete in surf sports competitions to demonstrate their physical and mental skills and abilities. Surf sports play a major role in the preparation of surf lifesavers to meet the physical standards necessary for saving lives. Competition officials and organisers conduct competitions to support and encourage lifesavers to demonstrate their knowledge and skill.
