The heritage protected buildings have been restored to their former glory and the cottage is now open to the public for tours, to experience life on Sages Farm in the 1850s. Sages Cottage has over 30 volunteers and we are always looking for more. We need help with the gardens, the veggies, bushland maintenance, building maintenance, supporting our training programs (another pair of hands or a person to talk to during program time makes all the difference for our clients), tour guiding, animal feeding and much more… Whilst a lot of the work is available between the hours of 7am-4pm Monday to Friday, animal feeding can be done on weekends and early mornings, so there is something for everyone who wants to get involved.
