Recitals Australia is an Adelaide-based non profit organisation that provides performance opportunities, support and educational incentives for talented emerging musicians. It also presents leading performances by virtuoso musicians from Australia and around the world. Governance of the organisation is by a volunteer Council, many of whom are also professional musicians, who work tirelessly to both manage and fund raise for the organisation and enable student participation. The current President is Mark de Raad, the Vice-President is Diana Harris OAM. Recitals Australia plays a special role in the musical life of Adelaide by annually providing over 100 performance opportunities for artists of all ages and levels. The youngest are able to participate in Home Recitals. More experienced students and semi-professional artists and professionals seeking additional opportunities are included in the Lunch Hour Series each Wednesday. The organisation is nearing its 50th anniversary year of founding.
