Logo for Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation

Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation provides support to children living in families affected by mental illness. The purpose of the foundation is to provide intervention and education for children giving them a break from their caring role, and in a safe and fun environment, building connections with other children living in similar situations. We are a collaborative, creative and fun team, who are passionate about making effective positive difference in the lives of many vulnerable children. We are building a dynamic volunteer team to help develop and grow with the organisation. Additionally, Kookaburra Kids delivers an early intervention program to children of current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force personnel who suffer from mental illness as a result of military service. We have Activity Days, Connect Chat sessions and do four camps per year (two nights away, always on a Friday and Saturday night) plus monthly activities taking place (usually around 4 hours each event) Our Connect Chat sessions are in the afternoons starting at 4pm, 5pm & Tuesdays 8pm. These are virtual in the comfort of your own home.
