VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BACKBONE OF OUR ORGANISATION, AND AN ESSENTIAL PART OF OUR FUNDRAISING ENDEAVOURS. We are passionately committed to providing all of our volunteers with a fun, relaxed and stimulating experience during their time with us. There are many great benefits of becoming a Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Volunteer, some of which include: * Increasing your self-esteem and confidence * Helping you to meet new people and build fulfilling relationships * Setting a great example in your community, particularly children who look up to you * Learning new skills and using your skill-sets to help others * Enjoying satisfaction and overall achievement * Promoting physical and mental health * VIP Tour of new Lismore Helibase * Invitation to Helirescue Volunteer Christmas Party * Recognition of volunteer hours (if required) OUR VOLUNTEERS ENJOY many different fundraising activities together, some of which include: * Assisting with running our Op Shops * BBQ's * Selling raffle tickets * Gathering prizes from local businesses * Advocating the service at events, gatherings, etc * Helping to coordinate events such as Golf Days, Bowls Days, Balls, Music Festivals and more We have fundraising support groups throughout the NSW Northern Rivers, Tamworth and Hunter regions and we're always looking for new recruits! Our Mission To deliver emergency medical and rescue helicopter services 24 hours per day, every day of the year, free of charge, whenever life is threatened
