Self Help Workshop trading as Self Help Workplace & Encore Clothing is an Australian Disability Enterprise which has provided employment for people with a disability since 1962. Currently employing more than 50 people, we are the largest employer of people with a disability in the greater Launceston area with our employees all enjoying the benefits of real employment through the provision of a steady work environment including wages, superannuation and leave entitlements. Self Help Workplace provides a range of products and services to many local and interstate businesses ranging from the manufacture and supply of wooden pallets, garden stakes, produce bins and survey pegs to the provision of mailing services and product assembly. To utilise our commercial grade kitchen and provide additional training to our employees, Self Help Workplace also provides a Corporate Catering service to local businesses and has a fully equipped meeting room for hire. Self Help Workplace also operates Encore Clothing, a premier second hand clothing outlet. All of our items are meticulously sorted, laundered and ironed prior to going into the store. With an active social club and dedicated employees and staff, we offer a place of employment that is productive, fun and enjoyable while providing businesses the opportunity to save money by utilising our services.
