Help our residents enjoy poetry and reading. We are looking for someone to read poetry and short stories to our residents at our aged care facilities across various locations.
Can you assist us with our transition care for our residents. We are looking for friendly volunteers who are able to read newspapers, play games or just come and have a chat.
If you have excellent communication skills and a desire to help young people learn and solve problems, you can volunteer at the Craig Family Centre as a Volunteer Homework Tutor. Volunteer Homework Tutors assist school children with their homework. Sessions are held every Wednesday from 4pm-5.30pm during the school term. Ongoing training and support is provided.
If you have basic gardening skills and are available any day during the week within business hours we'd love to hear from you.
Make a new friend and be part of something great - the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Seniors are particularly vulnerable to becoming socially isolated, especially if they don't have any family around. Our volunteers play an important part in keeping them connected with regular visits. If you like to chat and are willing to spend time with a senior in their home, then we'd love to hear from you.

Boroondara Cooks is a meal sharing and community-strengthening program that supports older residents (Diners) who live in their own home, however aren’t always able to cook for themselves. The program connects community members (Volunteer Cooks) who are happy to share an extra portion of their home cooked meal with an older neighbour on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The Diner appreciates a regular home cooked meal delivered to them and a friendly face to say hello.
Volunteer mentors provide consistent, positive role model support and guidance to a young person aged 10-21. You'll support them to access and pursue positive interests, hobbies or activities within their community, increasing their social confidence and reducing feelings of isolation.

It can be very hard for people living with terminal illness to take care of the little things we all take for granted: like finding time and feeling well enough to get a haircut.
