Assist seniors over 50 and the disabled to develop computer literacy, as part of our Be Connected program.

Do you get a buzz out of helping others? Are you confident using computers and new technology? Then Join our “Be Connected – Computers for Seniors” team. This is a voluntary role with hours to suit most people’s busy life (about 4 hours per week). You will be teaching basic computer skills to the over 50’s or people with disabilities, who have had little or no computer experience. Teaching experience is not necessary as all support and on the job training will be provided. The role is not technical and teaching sessions are usually 1 hour or so in duration. Guide seniors through how to use anything from smart phones, to tablets, laptops and PCs, sending email, using search platforms, social media, and much more.

To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. You will be contacted soon to arrange a mutually convenient time and place.
