Do you have a couple of hours a week to spare on a Thursday or Friday? Are you a savvy online shopper comfortable with technology? Would you like to raise funds for children in need by selling items we can't rehome on eBay? Look no further! Embark on a fulfilling journey with BGH as part of our dedicated volunteer team.

Sometimes there are items which have been generously donated to us we cannot pass on to the families we support. BGH will be selling these hand-selected items through eBay to raise more funds for our cause, and to elevate the support we offer the community.

The role We're looking for a committed individual that shares our values and is available to attend our Airport West Hub on a Thursday and/or Friday to fulfill and post orders to our customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • checking for new orders on our eBay seller's page (can be done remotely from home)
  • fulfilling orders onsite (includes picking, weighting, printing label, packing)
  • posting orders at the nearby Australia Post office/Sendle drop off point
  • (optional) stocktaking, inventory tasks, adding new products to the online store

Orders' volume might vary but at this stage we're looking at a commitment of about 1hr per week. The successful applicant may required to pass a Police Check.

You will have the opportunity to:

Organisational background Big Group Hug is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organisation that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged families in need, by providing new and pre-loved goods to help these families care for their children, aged from newborn to 16-year-old. Our core belief is that all children deserve the best start in life, so for us, the child is the focus of everything we do. Our team is made up of over 300 individuals/volunteers who are determined and committed to assisting every family who asks for help. We receive requests for specific and essential items through Case Workers, Maternal and Child Health Nurses or other professionals in the community.
