Masters Swimming Victoria

Around 100 swimmers from clubs around Victoria (and even interstate) will compete at the MSV Long Course Long Distance Championships. If you believe that sport should be for everyone, regardless of age and ability, and want to be part of a fun and friendly fitness event, then MSV needs you!

MSV is a not-for-profit organisation, largely run by a small but hardworking team of volunteers.

The MSV Long Course Long Distance Championships is the second of five branch (state) events in the MSV calendar. There are many ways to help, including:

  • Timekeeping
  • Flipping the lap count signs
  • Checking that swimmers are starting in the correct lane
  • Passing out refreshments
  • Handing out ribbons
  • Taking photos

No experience is necessary. Just a positive attitude and a desire to help facilitate a great day of racing.

Masters Swimming Victoria (MSV) is a branch of Masters Swimming Australia (MSA), which is the peak body for adult swimming in Australia and affiliated with World Aquatics (previously known as FINA) through Swimming Australia.

MSA's mission is to provide an environment to encourage all adults, regardless of ability, to swim regularly and compete in order to promote fitness and improve their general wellbeing.
