The Wesley Family Preservation Team is looking for a flexible, empathetic, and kind volunteer to assist with transporting clients to and from appointments.

The Wesley Family Preservation team exists to help families stay together and keep children and young people teenagers safe. This is a voluntary program where we work alongside families when there is an identified risk impacting a child or teenager’s safety, welfare or wellbeing. We support the child or teenager to thrive and feel safe at home, which will help keep a family unit together.

The ideal candidate is a kind, flexible, enthusiastic, and friendly person with an unrestricted driver’s licence who can commit to one full day a week. To provide care and consistency for our clients, this role would suit someone who is looking for a long-term position and is suitable for people needing to complete voluntary hours for Centrelink.

Tasks include:

• transporting clients to and from appointments

• building a good rapport with clients, creating a kind and relaxed environment for them

• liaising with the Family Preservation team to ensure a friendly and quality service for the clients

• general upkeep of vehicle (ensuring there is fuel in the tank, removing rubbish etc)

• administrative duties associated with the role (record keeping, scheduling)
