About Give Write

 

  Give Write is a WA charity that takes donations of new and used stationery to recycle, repackage and re-gift to children in need.  Our vision is for all WA children to have access to items that they need to feel engaged with their education and inspired to learn.

 

  Volunteering at Give Write

  Give Write has various opportunities for volunteering including:

 

• Ongoing office-based work to sort, test and pack our Student Packs
• Ongoing delivery and collection drivers
• Community volunteering events
• Corporate volunteering events

  We are always looking for dedicated individuals who want to support our cause, so please register an interest in the volunteering opportunities or other ways you might be able to assist us!

  About the Role

  a) Collections

  As a Delivery and Collections Driver, you will be an integral part of the Give Write team through getting donated goods from our Collection Points to our Subiaco office. These Collection Points are currently in the west and north of Perth (from Subiaco up to Joondalup) – but we are expanding into south and eastern suburbs.

  There will be no set days and times for these collections – this can be suited around your availability.

  If you can regularly pick up stationery items from our collection bins, please register your interest now. Please also let us know if there is an area that you prefer to work in.

  b) Deliveries 

  We also need individuals who have vehicles suitable for setting up new Collection Points. This mostly entails taking 120L or 140L new wheelie bins to various business and community organisations.

  Again, there is no set days and times for these deliveries – we will schedule an appointment for the delivery based on your availability.

  This Delivery role will require access to a vehicle that can deliver bulky wheelie bins. A standard size SUV car may not be suitable.

 

  Reimbursements:

  Please note that for deliveries and collections drivers, mileage will be reimbursed.

  Other: The role will report to and work closely with Give Write’s CEO.

  We ask that – before applying – you meet the following criteria:

 

• Access to transport to fulfil the requirements of this role.
• Friendly / good communication skills (if / when engaging with our supporters who host our Collection Points).
• Support Give Write’s mission and our values.
• Able to load / unload donated goods, which can be heavy.
• Able to commit to (a minimum of) eight hours per month.
• Must have or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance (Give Write can arrange).
