Logo for Living Proud LGBTIQ+ Community Services of WA

School Events volunteers promote Living Proud and LGBTIQ+ support services through stalls at school expos. By engaging students in conversation and activities relating to diverse sexuality, sex and gender we increase their knowledge and ability to access support for themselves and their peers.

All volunteers must have basic knowledge of LGBTIQ+ communities and hold non-judgmental attitudes towards people of diverse sexuality, sex and gender. More training is available in this area, if required

All Living Proud events volunteers are required to attend an Information Session (2 hours), apply for a police check (paid for by Living Proud) and agree to our Events volunteer code of conduct. Volunteers for school events will also be required apply for a Working With Children Check (paid for by Living Proud). Additional training is available, but not compulsory.
