Purpose of volunteer role As a Volunteer at SCHS, Family & Child Hub volunteers will assist families to feel welcome and participate in activities at the Family & Child Hub.

As SCHS is focussed on positive relationships and client outcomes, we value volunteers who have good people skills and: • Are welcoming to the parents/carers and children attending the hub. • Can relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. • Are punctual and reliable. • Are supportive and encouraging to families/carers The desired skills and experience for Family & Child Hub are: • understanding of child development and child-centred care • experience in early childhood setting or related field • understanding of play based learning • willingness to participate in Circle of Security Parenting training, delivered by Family & Child Hub team
