Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hadden Place Day Respite Centre is seeking volunteers! Hadden Place Respite Centre is for older persons and people with special needs in Sinnamon Park. It is a wonderful place to connect, meet people, and make new friends. Our services include centre-based day respite and a diverse range of programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our vibrant and supportive team to assist with:

• Scheduled daily programs
• Table games with clients, including bingo, puzzles, scrabble, and dominos
• Arts and craft
• One-on-one time having conversations with clients, reading, or doing activities
• Social groups, chats in small groups
• Preparing, serving, and clearing refreshments
• Simple exercises
• Driving clients on outings or to and from their residences to the centre in company fleet vehicles (open QLD 'C' class licence required)
• Playing an instrument
• Sharing your special talents
• Helping out where you can!

Volunteer times are flexible and are available Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan, provide proof they have received two primary COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement and do not provide personal care.
