We are seeking Italian speaking volunteers to join our visiting team to provide individual companionship & chats; Emotional Support, reading & reminiscence; cultural community Connections

The aims of the visits are:

• To foster friendships, establish rapport and reduce isolation
• To maintain social skills and share information and knowledge
• To provide companionship and support
• To maintain contact with previous communities of significance

All volunteers must have the annual Influenza vaccinations, triple Covid-19 vaccinations and a Police clearance

Skills required:

• Physically able to perform all aspects of role
• Honesty and reliability
• Good communication skills
• Non judgemental, tolerant attitude
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to work as part of a team and without constant direct supervision
• Ability to seek assistance when required
• Ability to use initiative and problem solve
