We are seeking a passionate community member to join our dedicated Board of Governance. The Kingston Neighbourhood House (KNH) Board provides governance support to the Manager and staff of KNH to enable efficient operations. THE KNH Board is a group of professionals based in the Kingborough community and commit 1-2 hours per month for Board meetings and 1-2 hours per month for work on sub-committees or projects as they arise.
We are looking for another "ninja" volunteer. Our "ninja" volunteers pick up bread and other products of a night time or morning and drop them off to the House for distribution to community members the following day. We call them our "ninja" volunteers because they do very important work but are hardly ever seen apart from our bi-annual celebrations.
Hobart City Mission's Sorting Warehouse is the engine room for our Retail Op shops. Donated electrical items are sorted and sent out to stores for people to purchase, instead of sending them to landfill! Sold donations raise money to support Hobart's vulnerable community experiencing crisis.

Sorting Warehouse Greeters are responsible for welcoming donors and other visitors as they approach the Sorting Warehouse in Brownells Lane and providing advice on donation suitability.
