Achievers Club WA is a non-profit organisation that supports disadvantaged students from predominantly low socio-economic backgrounds in Perth, WA to reach their potential by: • Providing weekly out-of-school mentoring to enhance their educational performance • Working with teachers and parents to tailor the support given • Building self-confidence, trust and a sense of achievement in the students’ personal and educational lives • Where appropriate, supporting students who wish to pursue scholarships for future studies. OUR VALUES: Empowerment + Collaboration + Perseverance + Enjoyment Benefits for Mentors: • Make a difference • Create social connections • Learn new skills (or dust off forgotten ones) • Have fun! Where: Girrawheen, Armadale and Butler Time commitments: 2 hours on a Saturday (10am -12) during school terms Prerequisites: Patience, small time commitment, basic English and mathematics Non-mentors: other support roles available - just get in touch!
