Pets for Life Volunteers provide practical support as guided by the owner in the care of their companion animal. The role is two-fold in that while assisting to maintain the animal’s welfare, volunteers will also be interacting with and become a support/contact for the older person. Isolation of the older person will be dramatically reduced through the volunteer visits and interaction around the animal’s care.
